Wtb what set this is D:

Saw this on MMO, love eet, wanted to get the pieces :3.

Didn't want to wait for that person to respond, so if you have an idea let me know :D.

That sword looking offhand looks amazing, dualwielding mages omg.

I know I'm a gnome, I look ugly in everything, and I'll look like a fat midget trying to look sexy /tear, but I am a belf at heart :P.
I think the staff is the offhand and the sword is a main hand, as for your question, I have no idea xD sorry
That's a hack of some sort, considering the offhand staff and the shoulders. It's not a particularly good one at that; some of the best work I've seen involving WoW's in-game art showed up in a fan-made collection of Jonathan Coulton music videos.
Forget the staff and sword, she just wants to know what cloth gear that is.
Astranaar Robe, Aurora shoulders, and either Shadow Council gloves or Pilgrim gloves from Thanksgiving event.

There are also staff offhands available in the game, though are hard to find.

Hope this helps.

There are a couple of offhands that use an essentially staff-sized model, low-level items AFAIK. That one is the Dire Maul staff model, and I don't know of any offhand items that use that model.

Constructive criticism for my 3's comp

Before the trolls jump in with "L2P" and what have you... That is what I am trying to do.

My qualifications:

I am the worst mage on Emerald Dream
I have only been playing this game since April
My highest rating I've had is 1480

My new 3's team I am working on is Mage/HPally/Warrior (we can get our warrior to play his DK if need be) I'm simply looking for little snippets of advice, and good practices to build myself up so I won't disappoint my team.

I would like to understand my role with this comp better before we really get started, and your help would be greatly appreciated!

Frost DK would probably be better.

You want to use your CC to it's potential, keep the healer CC'd and burst a DPS as quickly as possible, peeling for your DK and paladin as needed.

Cooridnate your CC with your DKs, try and get good hungering colds, make sure the DK peels when you're getting trained, and if the off DPS is being annoying, have he DK CC him (strang if he's a caster, HC/snares, etc).

Your gems are also.... really gross:

But, if you'd like, I play on ED as well, and I should be on a little later tonight (maybe around 6-7 server time I'll be on). If I'm not busy doing arenas myself, I'd be more than happy to help you out with some things if you want.

Brain Freeze Missing

Okay, I may be an idiot (probably am). On my lvl 85 frost mage that I haven't played forever I cannot find the brain freeze spell/icon in my spell book. Yes I have the necessary talent selected and points assigned. I did convert the toon from Ally to Horde but how could that affect a spell?

Any suggestions are welcome.

Thanks
Brain Freeze is a talent/proc that modifies the way frostfire bolt and AM interact (AM stops proccing, BF does). Not a spell in its own right.

It is on teir 4 of the frost tree.
Thank you, I did not understand that. For some reason I thought it was a spell. I appreciate your helpful reply.
Anytime!

Website like rawr

So I just came back to play WoW after a several month break.

I use to use a website similar to rawr which would help you min max your gear selection. Unfortunately I seemed to have lost the link. I know I'm being vague about the site but hopefully someone knows what site i'm talking about.

:-P
askmrrobot.com is decent although it always prioritizes hit gear over everything even past hit cap. so with that in mind its a good website to help with gear choices. also very easy to use.

Ah mr. robot was the one I was thinking of.

The web version of rawr doesn't agree with my computer. :-(

Thanks for the replies. :)

Arcane is Still Balanced

Hello fellow Mage's and disgruntled lurkers.

I threw together a small crit video due to lack of time for a bigger project this season, please feel free to check it out!

http://warcraftmovies.com/movieview.php?id=204191

Oh and it contains Dubstep, be warned.

Dubstep :win:!

I just started arcane..:watching:
I won't deny that it was entertaining to watch those enormous numbers on the screen.

However, I feel the need to point out that it detracts from the experience when you have a disc pocket priest, are wearing mostly PvE gear, are going against people in PvE gear who don't know how to PvP, and requires liberal use of cooldowns to achieve such numbers.
I'm willing to bet that in a real PvP environment where your enemy is properly geared and knows what he's doing, you will have a lot more trouble.

Still, I didn't feel the video was a waste of my time, and I will agree that it is fun to get in PvE gear, hop into a random BG, and turret some people into Hurtsville.
Very good editing skills besides.

How much hit should I aim for in PvP?

Title says all of it. What is the Exact Hit Number I should aim for?

Thanks :D
4%. No more, no less.
what is the exact hit rating needed to get to 4%?
If you go to your character tab and scroll down to the spell stats you should be able to see. You want to be at 0.0% miss rating for level 85 enemies.

Just scroll over the hit stat in the spell tab and it'll show you your miss chance for each level enemy. Download the addon RatingBuster. It'll tell you how much % you gain per amount of hit on any item. Every % of hit will be deducted from your chance to miss the enemy.

MAGE PET BUGGED WHILE INVIS

Everyone can see mages pet while in invis.
This is very annoying in arena because i can get popped out and it ruins my opener.
PLEASE FIX THIS BLIZZARD THANKS
