With WoW patch 4.3 comes a new raid tier, a new pvp season, transmogrification, and most importantly MAGE BUFFS (Ghostcrawler is smart)! !
Heres some of the footage I got while trying out fire for the first time in Cata on the PTR.
Includes: World PvP, faceroll, Fire Mage, a little bit of frost mage, clean UI + editing.
Does Not Include: competitive arena, fancy addons.

Still deciding on fire for pvp or not
but for pve fire > dull arcane
been fire pvping..I am missing the better control of frost...but fire got some nice damage but is frustrating when no hot streaks.....love hate relationship
yeah, just hope for no unlucky breaks on frostnova or cone of cold freeze.
If you dont mind cutting some resil, 4 piece t12 works good too.

fire is a very powerful mage spec. i honestly always did better as fire... not that i did any more than just low arenas but i do know of a few fire mages that are WAY up there in 3s.
in 2s its just mad fun to go fire/frost mages and in 5s fire is nuts. the aoe control is out of this world.
the only problem is we suffer from high dispels... oddly enough frost does as well. the only difference is that frost has more survivability but less mobility versus dmg than we do
