Fire dps.

Hey guys. Now I realise I'm not 85, but I wanna ask... Does fire get any better?

I'm only able to do about 2k on a 70 target dummy. I was feeling good about it, until I popped out arcane, and did 3.8k.

Does fire scale it's damage with the more gear you get, or the more haste etc you get?
Fire does very well at 85, even at standing still single target DPS it would beat arcane (unless unlucky with rng).
And when you have to move (there's a lot of movement in normal/heroic raids) fire pulls ahead significantly, because your damage over time effects are still doing damage while you move, and you can scorch while moving (unlike arcane).
It gets even better if there are multiple targets that you can spread dots to. Arcane loses badly in such situations.
