Fire or Arcane?

[:1]Hello everyone im new to mages pvp and wanted to know what you thought. Fire or Arcane for bgs or arena? What is stat priority with the two? One thing i did notice is that Fire is getting huge buffs for next patch but don't know if it benefits pve more or pvp. Thanks again guys!!

The buffs that Fire is receiving next patch will benefit both aspects of the game very much. However, Fire is still dominant over arcane in endgame PvP (unless you're doing random BG's, in which case it's still very questionable). The choice most people think of when they consider mage PvP is Fire vs Frost.

That said, I'd go Fire if I were you.
Fire's actually funner, especially in BG's. It's great being able to cast nonstop while moving and you can set up shatter combos just like frost mages for great burst.

With Arcane, you just find a place to hide in a bush and hope people don't notice you til you're able to 3 shot a healer by spamming 1 spell.

Fire is compatible in 3s arena, I've seen high rated RMP fire mages. Not so much in 2s since it's really hard to kill healers as fire.

Arcane is pretty useless in any arena situation since you'll just get trained by the other team and not allow you to cast, except maybe 5s.
