Need some fire mage help

So I leveled my mage to 80 using Frost, Now I want to switch to fire.

Few questions though...

1- Is fire mage the best damage spec atm?

2- What is a good guide with a good rotation? Have no idea what rotation to use. I looked at the fire mage sticky post but it is from april of last year. Does its recommendations still stand a few patches later?

Rotation is the biggest thing I need help with right now for single and AOE targets. Most I see make it seem like I should not use any frost abilities while spec fire unless they are for pvp.

Any info would be great.

Just to give you an idea

I been going with the following

Single Target

Frostfire, Pyro, Living Bomb, Fireball, and combustion when its up

Groups

Blast Wave, Dragons Breath, Flamestrike, Fire Blast when procs
Frostfire is a dps loss, Fireball is still the best nuke.

My dps is usually - precast mirror images if the fight has no weakness phase, squeeze in a orb for the start of the fight as well. I cast scorch for my debuff, cast LB, refresh LB after it explodes, and spam fireball.

I have parrot filtering all fireballs/pyros under 30k DPS. It says in big text at the top of my screen when I crit, and based on my logs I got a good idea of what my average ignite should look like. After I get a good ignite, I use combustion. Rinse repeat. I also use a /stopcast macro for my combustion and pyroblast!, particularly important for combustion as it's really a split-second decision to hit it or not.

I tend to not open with pyroblast, I'd rather get right to looking for those ignites.
For mobs though while leveling mirror image will not be p for every target since I am doing quests right?

So should I just go with Scorch, LB and fireball until 81 when I get flame orb?

And use nothing else basically? SO just 4 attacks. I was using frostfire cause without it mobs get to me and start hitting me. The slowing them down allowed me to drop them before they get to me. I am basically looking for best rotation for leveling to 85. Not worring about dungeons or raids yet.

Well If i were you i would go frost/fire its awsome im frost/fire Anyway fire is mainly used for pvp and dungeons and frost is mainly used for Pve/pvp....
The rotation for frost is Frostfire bolt.... Frost bolt Frostfire Orb...... thats what i use.... Now the Fire rotation is Flame Orb Pyroblast Scorch Then Use Dragons breath.... Scorch is good if you want to move and fight cause scorch lets u walk and fight..
